BIRTHDAY CELEBRATION I want to acknowledge and thank all of you, my great friends who took the trouble to send me various good will messages yesterday on the occasion of my birthday. I was deeply touched by the contents of most of it and wish I could immediately contact each one of you directly. This, I believe will happen in due course. Yesterday, a Committee of my Friends organized a celebration of the occasion here in Benin City,the capital of my home state, Edo State of Nigeria. I hosted an Invitational Golf Tournament at the Benin City Golf Club with participants from across the country. A Grand Reception for about 500 persons was hosted at the Club premises from about 5pm. Far more than 500 guests were present, Guests arrived from various parts of the country. I was a really memorable experience. I must record my appreciation of the gesture of support and tremendous goodwill extended to me by the Governor Comrade Adams Oshiomohle, the Government and People of my home State-Edo State, I thank DAAR Communication for providing live coverage of the event on AIT and I am indeed most appreciative of what the Committee of my Friends were able to put together in my honour.
